Articles - Battery in trunk.

This is where the battery used to be. I moved the starter solinoid down and ran the positive battery cable out to the wheel well.

You have to look hard to see the positive battery cable coming through the inner fender by the lower A-arm. The cable runs along the frame back to the new battery box.

Moving the battery to the trunk really helps the engine compartment from looking so cluttered!

Here is the boat battery box that you can buy from Wal-mart. I bolted it on the drivers side so that it wouldn't interfere with the Spare tire.

As you can see, I installed quick disconnects on the cables and ran a gound wire to the frame.

When the cover is put in place (cover is laying beside the battery box) it really looks great.

The strap holds the cover on securely.
