#1 comrick317 MCG Gathering autocross.  
I just stumbled across the video's from last years MCG Gathering autocross. I didn't know that all that was posted on You-Tube. That looked like a ton "O" fun.

Who did it the fastest? I see John Ford's mighty Maverick did a whole lot of tire spinning. That is one powerful Maverick. Nice colour too.

Are you guys doing the autocross again this year? It looked like a lot of fun.

Last question: Will Ron reign supreme again this year in the autocross?

reign supreme, I doubt it. I was a turtle cause I had the spool to deal with and manual steering. I'm told the object is to throw the rear-end out to go faster. What do I know. never autocrossed b4.:rollinglaugh:

It was fun, Chris Hahn won 1st place driving Smirks red and black Comet, I think Tony Hahn took 2nd and Matt Williams took 3rd, I think thats the order, I sure hope we do it again this year I think it was more fun than drag racing.

Yeah but Ron i meant reign supreme out of all the Canadian Mavericks. :thumbsup:

And it did look like a lot of fun too.

Well ya I guess if its taken in that sence. It would be alot nicer if more Canadian Mavs ventured into the USA for these shindigs. Only 2 mavs have made it there. Getting USA mavs up here almost impossible.

Well Matt ,I'm told by your fellow members that the USA CUSTOMS PEOPLE GIVE YOU GUYS A HARD TIME COMING BACK TO THE usa.:slap:When I contacted them face to face, they just said aLL that is needed is proper paper work, passport. B4 you entre Canada, stop at US customs and give then a list of any tools, parts, etc. get them to stamp your copy as proof of notification.Passports are required when leaving the USA or upon entreing again. Pretty simple.You all know I have been crossing for years and have had not 1 problem. The clue, just ONLY answer the question asked. Make your answer blunt and to the point. DON'T give ANY info not asked for. Take off SUNGLASSES and look then square in the eyes.
Plus a comment was made at Owensboro, NO MCCI meet will ever be in Canada. TOO bad :p

To clarify....what was stated was that no MCCI Roundup Nationals will ever be held in Canada. A regional or state/province mini-meet could be held there and would be more than encouraged to happen.

that was a lot of fun. PINKY is sure not set up for doing that and the "little" steering wheel only about snapped my ring figure once LOL. But it was a blast, and different.

WELL Craig if I could and did organize 2-3 mini meets in Ontario,per year, why not a National meet. The problem is I had a sponsor to pay for a great majority of the expences, but you and the rest of the gang of 4 said the chq was to be given to the MCCI, and you would decide where the money was to go.

NO way in hell is my sponsor, who specified what he wants to pay for will cut a chq so you can decide for the minority and not the majority. That is 1 reason why I backed out of doin a MCCI Round-up in Ontario.I had 12 -15 members in the USA who said they would love to come to Ontario for a round-up. Dale already showed up for some of my functions.2 people from Cali said they would seriosly think about coming to Ontario. Too bad, so sad this is a INTERNATIONAL club with restictions. enough said by ME on this subject.

Lets hope the new MCCI rep promotes the cars and membership.You keep saying some1 has to call to set up a mini meet or other function. Why. If some1 wants to do something, than just step forward like 2 others up here have and do it.:clap:

Ron...it is time to give it a rest. This was all hashed out many years ago. I could repeat all the points that were made then, but it would be of no use. Those points were ignored then, and I can see they are still being ignored. If you can get sponsorship money, then host a National show for another organization. I am sure they would vote on it and come up there in droves. You are no longer a member of the MCCI, by your choosing. I never seen somebody so interested in a club they are no longer a member of. You go your way, the rest of us will go our way. Then...don't ever mention anything about the MCCI, how we do things, where we do it, etc....and the favor will be continued on our half as it has been for years. Just drop it.

WELL ITS TO BAD THAT YOU AND YOUR PARTNERS have your heads stuck in the sand. I spent over 5 years promoting the Maverick/Comet cars and their families inOntario.I was the only CANADIAN who every year came south to celebrate the cars with the other people I still love the cars but not your arrogant thoughts that the 5 of you know whats best for the majority. I worked hard and did a ton of work to promote the cars. Too sad that all the work may end up being a waste due too no 1 carrying the ball farther. If I wanted too ,I would continue to do mini meets as its not a requirement to be a paid up member.I did not and will not ever ask permission to organize functions for the Maverick/ Comet people. I would organize a weekend function and have members from the MCCI attend. The only thing INTERNATIONAL about the club is the word itself.You and your cronies do nothing to promote the MCCI internationally.Owensboro KY brought alot of crap to the surface.Alot of people who watch this webb site are not aware of what goes on behind the scenes. They will eventually find out because the truth always comes to the surface.I don't intend to let a weasel like you ruin my work. TTFN:p

PS: nothing was hashed out. You made it clear that you were goin to do it your way and if no one liked it ,there was the door. Well a great percentage of the active members DON'T go to the round-ups anymore,cause they went out the door.You want me to drop it so others don't find out the truth.HM

It's real simple, and I will ask you one more time....don't talk about the MCCI (of which you choose to no longer be a member of)...and we will continue to not talk about any of the organizations you are involved with. Don't bring it up......don't concern yourself with what we do, or don't do...just go your way and we will go ours.

As far as a "great percentage of the active members DON'T go to the round-ups anymore" is just plain not true. Again....you are not an MCCI member, so it is of no concern to you.

Are you familiar with the store: Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I don't like Bed, Bath, and Beyond. So what do I do about it? I don't go there. I don't picket outside their stores, I don't write letters to their corporate headquarters, I don't throw them in with the "Axis of Evil". I don't care what happens at Bed, Bath and Beyond. If others like Bed, Bath, and Beyond....that is great. I choose not to shop there. I just don't go there. Real simple.

Craig you say that but it is not compleetly true, I can't start to couunt how many MCG discussions are started and YOU chime in what about the MCCI:disappointed:where thier events are and so forth.........and I can think of atleast one person who is listed as one of the MCCI state Reps Who is not a member of the MCCI anymore........but the club still lists them.........I was in that position once before myself and had to post in the open to have my name removed from that list........

That is just not true. If it STARTED as a discussion about another organization, then I don't don't go in and dicusss an MCCI event. I am not trying to start an argument...but that has not happened.

As far as state reps being listed and are no longer members....that is very true. All that person has to do is contact the state rep co-ordinator and it is taken care of. Yes....some are better than others at that position, and things fell threw the cracks. We are all only human. We all have day jobs, and families, which come first. This is a hobby...not a job. Nobody gets paid to do any of this, and you get what you pay for. :)

So you are admitting that you knowlingly leave non-members as state reps until they badger someone enough to be removed? I have mentioned this on several occassions and nothing happens. Is your organization that huge that you don't know whether or not your representatives are even members?

But then I thought: if she drives it like she did the Mazda, you don't have anything to worry about. (Except for the additional power at her disposal :D)

Going to install my bigger sway bar this year. And by gosh, I'm going to be even more aggressive! :onfire: May consider adding the rear bar, but I have heard if you get it wrong you can really induce a lot of tail-slide and defeat the whole purpose.

If I bring my car (might bring Dad's instead), I think I will adjust the shocks from their 90/10 to 50/50 and give it a whirl. I was kind of afraid of damaging the Detroit Locker. What do you guys think? Is that an issue?

I think the biggest issue is if you choke when you're laughing so hard.

Jeff, I wouldn't worry too much. If that Shelby could spin out like it did last year and not do any damage, your car should be safe. Maybe.:rollinglaugh:

Thats another thing I have a Detroit locker also, that will be tricky but I dont think it'll hurt it.
