If anyone wants to do anything, all you gotta do is ask. I had something planned the year before last, and no body responded. I do have a life other than cars, that keeps me kinda busy. Don't piss on the idea, then complain about it. The MCCI is open to everyone, if you don't like it, then don't bother trashing it, car clubs are what "you" make them. |

If anyone wants to do something, YOU set the example and set a date,plan it and make sure that every1 knows about it. If you had something planned for 2010, then maybe it didn't get promoted enough. I did not see or read of any mini meet set-up by you. I had no problems getting people to respond in the 5 years that I had mini-meets. Whats your problem.WANT ALL THE GLORY BUT NO GUTS. Car clubs are what the active members make of it but when the POWERS to be DO_NOT listen to the majority, then things start to fall apart. I have been told by many US/CAN members that I did more for the Maverick,Comet people in Ontario, in 5-6 years than you did in the 10 or more years of your being a member in the Maverick,Comet family.Enough said. PROVE to the many that you have or will do equal or better than me. :p |

I will along with other Mav/Comet folks be there , if my health permits. JULY 15/2012. Wow miss a couple of days or so 'cause your old computer blowed up "real good", get it back and the world goes to Hell. Sorry fellers but i'm with Ron on this one. By the way thanks for the info on the shows at Caugua , Hooters, etc, etc, etc. I will try to be there for all of them because i love the Maverick Comet lifestyle and i want to represent them when i can. And yes i too have a life, four fantastic kids who i bring with me when they want to go and they do want to go. A very cool wife who let's me go to these things, (yes let's me go because a marriage is BOTH of you) without bitching about it. She knows how i love this stuff. I have a life and the cars are a part of it and has been for 37 years. The whole MCCI bit actually makes me sad. I used to me a member but i got very mad with a few unnamed members who were very much a determinant, i did not renew my membership, i don't post on the other board and this is coming from a very die hard Maverick Comet fan. I figure the members that bitched about me on the other board endlessly got their way and i don't have the time or the will to play that little game with them! Anyway 'nuff said, Ron , Larry, i will go to whatever you guys put on as i love this stuff (you guys know that). I'm looking forward to this years batch of Maverick Comet events as usual and to me, Ron is still the Maverick Comet rep for Ontario. To challenge this is a joke if you have done not as much work as he has the last 15 years. Remember we all know each other because of Ron and all the work he has done, the phone calls (long distance is not cheap), setting up the MCCI/ NMCC mini meets at Summit Ford, and Kelseys, and Hooters. Thank you Ron from the bottom of my Maverick Comet heart which is only a few inches above my colon. :) I will go to your and Larry's events, the others not so much. To the MCG which i am a member, you guys are kind and don't play games. Thanks for the use of your board for which i do hog for time to time (yeah a lot, i know) you guys are the American Maverick Comet club of choice for me and if you guys come here to do a show or anything i will attend without a doubt. Ron is one Crazy Canuck for sure. That's all i gots to say boys. Takit- ez.

La rry picking dates and you adviseing all and making the dash plaques.:clap: I,m only doin the Hooters show rite now. | HARD ROCK CAFE. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Where is that pic of the 2 hot chicks in mini skirts making ummmmmmmmm suggestive moves on our cars. This is some of our cruises up and down yonge street on sunday mornins at 11am. We did stop and have breaky every sunday. Had 1 couple fron aussie take pics of our cars, plus lots of people admireing them..Larry and me driving in 1st gear and rev snot out of our cars up and down Yonge st.Larry that was sweet times. | From Ontario its about 850 miles. About 14 hrs of comfortable driving. You know, drive for 3-4 hrs, then gas-up and have a 1/2hr break type of thing.Motel in transit goin to Somerset, and 1 goin home. Its a very nice area(somerset) and I found it nice driving too, even when towing my enclosed trailer. Really hot weather last yr. 3or 4 days around 110 or 114. | |||

| Joplin was Blazing hot, my family and I thought Somerset was much cooler than Joplin, when we left Joplin everything was brown, Somerset was lush and green and much cooler but I'm sure its a warmer climate than your use to, PLEASE leave your speedo home, Just sayin, sure hope you get to come. | |||

Last year it was really hot when we were in Louisville prior to the Gathering. But the weather was really nice in Somerset. Especially the evenings and nights in the 70's. The last year in Joplin was hot unlike the first two years when some nights were almost cold. |

Well folks. Some of us stayed in louisville for Mon,tues.It was terrible hot.110 Ask John ford, Wilbur Green,me, I drove part way home on Sunday, but blew a trailer tire on 75, HMMM I think that hwy,The radio station was saying it was 95 or so. THE blew out was the only problem for the trip. Thank my luck stars I had 2 spares. I know hot as some know I was a long haul driver for over 25 years and have had hundreds of trips to Cali, NV, TX,AR etc. More than 3,500,000 miles.ttfn Ron:asleep: |

Joplin was a real contrast in weather. One year was really great, the next year was freezing, and the last year was hotter than you know what. I thought Somerset was perfect weather. Ron, just bring an extra case of Fosters to make up for all the sweat you lose.:slap: |
