#1 darren Very interesting ride home LOL. this ones for Pinky.  
So on the way home in the Mav tonight... A fellow pulls up along side on the HWY and shouts is that a Pinto?? Give him the usual confused look so he repeats himself. I shouted Maverick. Few miles up the road we get to a stop light so he leans out the window with his Ipad and shows it to me. He says "now I know what a Maverick is thanx, Nice car".
Now for my response to his Ipad. When he shows it to me its a picture of A Maverick full screen. I started to laugh and said "yep but my car is way nicer and faster than that one" LMAO. It was PINKY. Obviously I was joking and boy did I get a laugh out of it.
He didnt get my joke but I got a hell of a good laugh to myself.
This was one the most memorable things thats happened to me as far as comments on the car goes.

Kind of ironic since that same pic he pulled up of Pinky was the pic that got me thinking about buying a Maverick again a few years back after a Google search late one night.

Little while later I had a guy almost drive up the curb on a right turn why he honked the horn to give me a thumbs up. God I love this car.

Do you get allot of guys with thumbs up and their tongues hangin out, its funny, drive my wifes 65 mustang around and guys dont even look at it but girls point and go oohh look.That is a great story thanks for sharing.

Very cool story Darren. Believe it or not but as bad a my Comet looks these days with it's dead paint, on Saturday i was just leaving my street to go to a cruise in Etobicoke when a Camaro drove by with a couple of guys in it. Being that they were now ahead of me on the road as they were about to make a right turn the driver reached out his window and gave me and the Comet the thumbs up. It made me laugh as i find that most Camaro drivers are not all that friendly to say the least. I was more expecting him to maybe give me the finger as the Comet being a Mercury (Ford) and all and not a Chebby.:p
