Here are the pictures from the 6th Annual NRMCC Maverick Comet meet and greet at Hooters. Our numbers were low this year as it almost didn't happen and was some what last minute. Thanks to all who brought out their cars or came out to our humble little event, you are true Maverick Comet fans.:thumbsup: The dash plaques with the right date.:p  First we met at Maverick Comet grand central which is Larry's house in Burlington.   Larry's neighbours must think he's running a used Maverick Comet dealership. The Mountain Cruise part of our event was cancelled due to one of the cars having some internal problems, so we limped our way to Hooters as we really did want to continue our annual Meet and Greet. The cars at Hooters in Hamilton: Our numbers were small but our stomachs were strong as this time around honestly.............. the food and service was no Hell.    Here's the group shot minus yours truly.  I didn't get a ton of pictures this year as my camera kept screwing up for some reason. Time for a new one i guess.Even though our numbers were small and the food was not all that great, i had a great time as did my son William. :thumbsup: I have to admit that i really do look forward to our annual Meet and Greet and seeing the boys each year. Maybe a return to Kelsey's for next year just to change things up a bit. Thanks to Larry Winter for hosting this years Meet and Greet. Thanks to The Daydreamer (who started our annual Meet and Greets) for coming all the out to Hamilton along with Mavmenace. Thanks to Darren for always coming out for everything.......... :thumbsup: It was a pleasure fellers!!!!!!!

Well i have had those wheels for a while, i bought them from a guy in Hamilton who said they were to big to fit his Falcon. I got 'em cheap so when the tire on my other rims blew up it was my chance to throw them on the Comet. I think they look pretty good and the fact that they are shiny takes away some of the attention from my oh so dead and dull paint job. :biglaugh: It's been so long since i saw Brian i forgot what he looks like.,,,,,,,,,,,,,, LOL buddy. |

Fun as usual. Nice to see the guys. The waitress at hooters was a plus. Food and service same as usual there. Did Willie like the little burn out Carey. Wasnt goin to but peer pressure from those guys on the patio screamin "let er go" got to me. LOL. |

Yeah the waitress at Hooters was o.k. , the poor woman was the only one working, serving everyone in the restaurant, i think she did o.k. It's the fact that she was the only one working that was wrong.:slap: Yes Darren, Willy loved the burn out. He was asking about that before we got there, wondering if you were going to do another one this year. Sort of a Meet and Greet tradition.:clap: It only made me smile a little bit...... o.k........... maybe a lot.:p Damn that peer pressure. Oh by the way i got the chirp on tape with my antique camcorder by Mr. Willy got it with his little digital camera / camcorder. It even has that same creepy little laugh on it like last years. Want a copy of it? All in all a good time indeed. |
