#1 comrick317 Canada Day Parade
Today i brought my Comet and my two daughters to the 2011 Canada Day Parade in Port Credit. We had about 45 classic cars in the parade and my girls had a thrill driving in the old Comet down Lakeshore with all the others cars , floats and bands. My 13 years old daughter filmed the whole thing from inside the car while i took pictures as we rolled along waving and honking the horn. Damn i love a parade and seeing my 6 year old smiling from ear to ear waving at everyone.

We finished off the day watching fireworks in the park.

Happy Birthday Canada.................. and happy Birthday U.S.A. too!!!! (on the 4th).

Oh yeah Darren, i know your mighty Maverick and the whole gear thing, you would have been working like a dog to drive it as we barely got past 4 miles an hour at any given time. By the end of the parade some of the cars were sounding pretty rough until they could move a little faster.

I finally got around to getting the pictures from the Canada Day parade from my camera to my computer. Since my camera takes such massive pictures (2.20MB-3.20MB) i need to shrink them all down to post them.

Here they are:

My daughters Samantha and Erica thrilled to be in a parade.

Waiting for it to begin while in the parking lot:

The parade begins, we had about 45ish cars with my Comet being near the last of the parade as it was one of the "newest" cars and the line up was oldest to newest:

These two pictures are along the route, i took them because the apartment that you see is my first apartment that i moved into when i was 19. That was about 26 years ago so i found it funny that my very first apartment was along the parade route. Way back in the day i would never dream that in the future i would be in a parade in a car with my kids driving by my first apartment. Funny how things turn out:

Thats all folks.
