#1 comrick317 School Skippin' Comet
I was at a cruise with my 6 year old daughter on Sunday in Milton and as we were there during dinner time i decided to grab a couple of hotdogs from the food guy that they have at the show.

So being that my Comet is a '76 we all know that my car comes with it's own park bench so my daughter and i decided to eat our food while sitting on the front bumper ( the park bench). While we were eating ,this couple comes up to us and the women says to her boyfriend (husband?) , "Hey look it's the School Skippin' Comet".

I found this kinda odd and looked up at them and said, "What?"

She preceded to tell me about this old Comet that her friend from high school way back in the day had that her father gave her. She called it the School Skippin' Comet because her friend was the only person that had a car and they would all pile into this Comet and .......... skip school. I guess go for a drive and not come back till the next day.

I found it funny as she was thrilled to see my car. She was not interested in the type or size of the engine, how fast it went 0-60 or what it did in the 1/4 mile. (SUPER SLOW-MO)

They asked me if the Comet came from Nova Scotia? I told them it came from right here in Port Credit Ontario.

The two off them did a walk around the car once with the woman smiling from ear to ear all the while saying out loud that it was the same colour as her friends Comet and calling it once again, '' the School Skippin' Comet." That put a smile on my face.

This is while i love our cars!!!!

When I was 10 my brother bought a really nice 72 comet GT, red with black stripes and black bucket interior, 302, 3 speed on the floor, Man I loved that car and I was always in the back seat when he was criusing with his buddies, allot of great memories..
