| Finally got some new wheels and set out to buy a new set of BF Goodrich Radial TA's. Can't find a 255/60/15 anywhere. Talked to Tire Rack and they have no ETA, said they are in short supply. Guess the car will be setting on stands for a while. :disappointed: | |||

I ran into a similar probelm 4 years ago when I was looking for 14" tires. The days of the 14" and 15" tire is almost over I am afraid. I seem to recall theat Coker tire or Kelsy tire is repopping the B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A. |

I was told by Tire Rack that BF Goodrich/Michelin is just not keeping up with the seasonal demand. I called and spoke to Coker and they are not repoping the tires and are out of stock on them as well. |

| When I was finishing my Maverick, I had a long wait for a couple of BFG T/A's. I was told that BFG was shipping their molds to (Romania?) at that time. | |||

| Great, that's the size I was thinking of switching to! Wonder if Firestone is having the same problem... | |||

There is a Firestone available but they only make a few different sizes so I can't get a matching front. Besides I really have no desire to buy a Bridgestone/Firestone product. |

Summit just told me they have a bunch coming in likely on Monday but have back-orders. Hopefully I fall within that bunch. Meanwhile I will continue to search. |

| Allan, I just called Big O here and they said they are running about 1 1/2 weeks out and about $189 each. Probably need to add tax to that also. :eek: | |||

The company I work for has locations in Canada. We ship things all the time, seems items flow south faster than north. But everything is via UPS. Summit has already pushed the date out another week. |

Its really no more work for me to ship to US than to my neighbors. I know a lot of US guys wont ship to Canada. You must have more paper work than we do. I just fill out a small sticker with description and value. Thats it. |

Sorry Ron cant find the number Larry gave me. Been very busy. I did grab 2 BFG's for my car week before last. I checked the BFG's today. AS of today they had zero 255's and 2/275's. 275's are 145 ea. Considerably more than 255. Paid 105 ea cash for the 255's. Awful price jump to 275's?? These guys move a lot of tires and they dont even have them anymore. Somebody in Windsor picked up 6 255 BFG's. Anyone one here?? Not sure whats going on with BFG. They show no date for back orders on both 255 and 275?? St.George tire we deal with doesnt even have a 275/60/15 in any tire. I guess the 15" stuff just doesnt sell around here like it used to. |

I can get 275/60/15's and may have to even though I would rather have the 255/60/15's. Summit has pushed the date out to late July now and I imagine soon they will cancel the backorder. I just went out on www.tirerack.com and looked at the size and spec sheet on the Radial TA's and the 255/60/15 size is no longer listed, they were listed last week. Have completely discontinued that size? |

| This really sucks! I was going to buy this size next. I don't want 275/60's on my car it's just too much tire. Need to start checking other brands for this size. | |||

| #23 darren | Re:New Tires | ||
| Maybe thats why our computer doesnt show a date for a back order on the 255?? Discontinued?? Gees maybe I should put mine on Ebay and get 275's. LOL. The 275 is just a bit big for the look I want. Its not much different but just enough to make me stick with the 255. Have to look at other brands I guess for 255/60 | |||

Looks like Mickey Thompson has a few different lines in this size. Heres a Firestone. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Firehawk+Indy+500&partnum=56SR5FHI500RWL&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes |

| Yeah Darren, I have the Indy 500's on my car (the model, not the size), so that's good to know. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they make the size I am using on the front anymore! :cuss: What are they trying to do to us? | |||

BFG has new part numbers for many of the popular sizes. Big question is why, did they change the lettering or tread pattern or ??? |
|||
|
|||
| #28 darren | Re:New Tires | ||
| I wouldnt mind a change in the tread pattern. I find mine a bit too blocky. I think the older ones had a nicer pattern. | |||
