Pinky, i'm now wondering just how long it is going to take for the newest Hot Wheels Maverick to get up here in Canada, i'm guessing we will see it in March 2011. If anyone gets one please post a picture (and rub it in) as i want one to add to my Maverick shelf that is next to my computer.

Its rough being a 44 year old kid still wanting new toys. :p

You know a funny thing happened at the Ancaster Swap Meet on Sunday. There is this big guy (and i mean big, 6' 9") who is a vendor at all the shows. He sells Hot Wheels and is a really nice and easy going guy who always remembers me. At a show a few months ago i mentioned that i was looking for the blue Hot Wheels Mavericks and a very rare silver K-Mart special 69' Firebird. When i went to the show on Sunday and came to his booth the guy looks at me and says i have something for you and pulls out that oh so hard to get K-Mart silver 69' Firebird. What a cool guy as he saved it for me. He did not have it out on the table and could have sold it to anyone to make a buck.

It's funny how you can meet some guys at these shows that are real a$$4ole$ and others (LIKE THIS GUY) that are very cool indeed.

Before i left his table i bought the Firebird ($5 bucks and worth every red cent to me) and all the Mavericks he had ( i already have at least 45 Hot Wheels Mavericks) plus a few other cars.

You can't beat a good car guy even if they are only 1/64 scale cars.:p:thumbsup:

Here's another Hot Wheels Maverick, only i don't recall seeing this colour anywhere that has been in print or on the internet. It's a sorta copper colour like the gold Maverick but it has black stripes instead of white stripes.

Look:

Anyone have one of these? If you do where did you get it as i want to add one to my collection.

I'm kinda thinking that maybe someone has photo shopped the colour onto it now that i look at the picture. The door handle is not painted and on all the ones i have the door handle is painted silver. Maybe i'm wrong, either way it will give me something to look for at the up coming swap meets in a few months from now.

This one is not a Hot Wheels but a mix of Johnny Lighting and Motor Max. I love the fact that the Maverick is getting pulled over by a Hot Rodded cop car?

Here's the latest Hot Wheels Maverick.

Kinda ugly but if your collecting them than.................. ya gotta have it. It's a Treasure Hunt car so it's gonna cost ya.
I guess there is two different ones. The treasure hut one with the white roof and real rubber wheels and TH written where Maverick would be.
And the regular one with Maverick written on the fender instead of TH., a blue roof with white stripes and plastic wheels instead of rubber.

Now all i'm waiting on is a Hot Wheels Dray-N-Fly Maverick. Do you think i'll be waiting a long time?:p

Yeah Matt it's a redline series. The hood goes up so it's a bit different than the regular Mavericks and you need to join the Hot Wheels club to order one or ................ er......... 5.

My buddy at my old work loves messing with Hot Wheels and making them different so i asked him to make me a Drag-'N- Fly Maverick. Yes i know they are ugly as Hell but i think it would be cool to have one.
Here is how far he has gotten.

Can't wait to see it when it's finished, it should be fun to see.

Here is the Drag-'n'-Fly Maverick my buddy has been working on for a while. It has come along a little bit, it pretty much just needs paint.

And mostly finished:

Does it look like a real Drag-'n'-fly Maverick or what?

Now the next question is......... what colour do i paint it? I was thinking green and white, what does everyone think?

I totally agree, the Drag-n-Fly Maverick is ugly as sin and i never really liked them but i love the fact that my buddy made me one. I even get to paint it which will be fun.
My buddy won't let me get my hands on it till i get him a Hot Wheels Knight Rider Trans Am, then it's an even trade for the Drag-n-Fly. What a tease. Our annual indoor car show called Megaspeed is this weekend so i'm hoping to get the Knight Rider Firebird for the trade.

The funny thing is that as much as i think the Drag-n-Fly Maverick is ugly, if i had the coin i would buy or build or restore one just to have one in the garage right next to my Comet and the Deadboy Maverick i want to remake.
